Biotin

Biotin is generally a water-soluble B- Vitamin 7 (vitamin B7). It is a coenzyme for carboxylase enzymes involved in the synthesis of fatty acids, isoleucine, valine, and in gluconeogenesis. It is needed for cell growth, production of fatty acids, and the metabolism of fats and amino acids. It is known to help with the transfer of carbon dioxide. It is helpful in maintaining a steady blood sugar level.

Biotin is often recommended as a dietary supplement to strengthen hair skin and nails and is found in many cosmetics and health products. Biotin is found in many foods. Some of the foods that contain Biotin is cauliflower, liver, salmon, carrots, bananas, soy flour, yeast, wheat germ, whole grain cereal, whole wheat bread, raw egg whites, dairy, chicken, etc. It has been said that biotin is made from bacteria in the small intestine.
